Context
Moien is a European rental and subletting platform positioned as a regional alternative to Airbnb, operating in markets such as Luxembourg and France.
The product needed to evolve to support growth, new markets, and AI-driven feature integration.

Challenge
The product had structural limitations that prevented scale.
- Inconsistent user flows across key journeys
- Visually outdated interface
- Static PNG screens with no system or documentation

The issue was not cosmetic — it was systemic.

My Role
I acted as Product Designer with a strong focus on UI and Design Systems, leading the visual and structural reconstruction of the product.
- Design system expansion and system governance
- Redesign of core journeys
- Close collaboration with product strategy and engineering

Key takeaway: in complex products, sustainable growth starts with solid foundations. Scalability is a systems outcome.

Process
Before redesigning, I conducted a structural audit of the interface and core journeys.
* Rebuilt legacy screens in Figma to identify pattern inconsistencies
* Mapped hierarchy, spacing, and grid misalignments
* Defined missing interaction behaviors and component logic
It became clear the solution required rebuilding the foundation.

Solution
The strategy was built on two pillars: visual clarity and scalable infrastructure.
- Expanded and formalized the design system (tokens, components, states)
- Standardized layout rules, grid systems, and typographic hierarchy
- Created structured documentation to improve collaboration with engineering
Core flows were redesigned and reconstructed with consistent logic across mobile and desktop.

Outcome
The product evolved from fragmented screens into structured digital infrastructure.
* Reorganized key journeys: search, listing, booking, onboarding
* Reduced navigation friction and improved interaction predictability
* Established a scalable UI foundation ready for new features and markets
Scale became a result of system maturity — not improvisation.
